Right now you can fill in our 2 minute survey!
Same Love Toti (SLT) has initiated an anonymous digital survey to assess the public’s support for a campaign it is launching, to have it made compulsory for KZN schools to educate pupils around issues of Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression and Sex Characteristics (SOGIESC)
As a champion of LGBTQIA+ people and issues, Same Love Toti hopes the campaign will ultimately make schools safer places for children, by challenging the ignorance that often fuels homophobic bullying.
Make your voice heard, fill in the survey and help protect our LGBTI youth.
We are only as strong as those supporting us.
Without the generous and continuous help from sponsors and the community, we would not be able to do what we do.
There is a variety of ways in which you can get involved with Same Love Toti and PFLAG South Africa.
Here is a summary of our wish list.
There are a number of hidden costs that enable us to provide services to LGBTI youth and their families. We would appreciate donations towards these items:
Software – bookkeeping and office-related programmes
Internet costs – to keep us connected and visible online
Airtime and data – to enable communications and counselling via WhatsApp
Transport – petrol costs
We also raise funds to directly assist members of the LGBTQI+ community.
You can be very specific about how you would like your donation to be used:
Electricity and water voucher
Airtime and data voucher
If you are more hands-on and would like to get involved personally, here’s how you can help:
Venue: Allow us to use your office or conference room for a specific occasion/meeting.
Board member: Offer your professional services as an accountant, fundraiser, etc.
Volunteer: There are many little things that you can do.
“At school I felt like a stranger in my own class, a freak. Until Same Love Toti came to my school, now I have hope. I know that there are other people out there like me, I know that I am not alone, I know that I belong somewhere – here! I know that we can change things and make things better for everyone. Even if it is for just one person, like me, then I want to give them that hope that I found too.”
